This kernel doesn't handle early microcode load properly (it tries to load microcode even in virtualised environment, which may lead to a panic on some hypervisors), thus the microcode files have not been added to the initramfs image. Please update your kernel to one of the following: RHEL 7.5: kernel-3.10.0-862.14.1 or newer; RHEL 7.4: kernel-3.10.0-693.38.1 or newer; RHEL 7.3: kernel-3.10.0-514.57.1 or newer; RHEL 7.2: kernel-3.10.0-327.73.1 or newer.
